Children's Ministry Online Registration

Parents must register their children (infants-grade 5) who are going to participate in Children's Ministry for the upcoming school year. This year's registration is being completed online by going to the members' section of the website and clicking the Children's Ministry link on the right hand side of the page. Please register by August 30, 2010. Move-Up Sunday will take place on September 5, 2010. If you are not currently a member, but would like your children to be registered, please contact Aleece Root at aleecelynn@hotmail.com.

Invest for Everyone

The group will meet once per month on Saturday mornings (BEGINNING SATURDAY, SEPT. 11) to discuss topics from Scripture and life. Participation will involve Scripture memory as well as readings from Bible Doctrines (by Wayne Grudem) and other resources. Advanced registration is required, plus a $15 fee to cover the cost of printed materials. To register go to www.sgclife.org/invest. If you have further questions, please contact the church office.

Big Group Lunch

Over the course of this school year, we will have several Big Group lunches for college students and young adults. These lunches will be hosted by different families and will offer a great opportunity to get to know a variety of people in the church. The next Big Group lunch will be at the Maxim?s home after church on September 12th.

Starting Point (for Newcomers)

Starting Point is our nine week course to explore membership in this church. It covers our biblical purpose and practice as a church. The next class will begin on Sunday mornings at 8:30 am on September 26th. A light breakfast and child care will be provided. Register today at http://www.sgclife.org/startingpoint.

Parenting Seminar with Kenneth Maresco

Kenneth Maresco (a pastor from Covenant Life Church in MD) will lead a seminar on parenting on Saturday night, October 23, 2010. The seminar will focus on parenting teens, but parents with younger children will also benefit greatly. We will meet at Plank Jr. High at 5:00pm for pizza and teaching will begin shortly after. There will be a $5.00 per person fee for this seminar.
